DescriptionThis 84.5-acre conservation area and urban district river park on an island in the Indian River Lagoon is near the Sebastian Inlet marine ecosystems and the Atlantic Ocean. It features campsites along the shoreline for convenient fishing, a boat ramp, small fishing dock and fish cleaning station. Adjacent to the camping area and connected by a bridge, Scout Island offers primitive camping at a reasonable group rate and more than a mile of nature trails. Nature walks are provided for school children and organized groups by appointment. Isolated from the hustle and bustle of urban life, Long Point Park is a haven for fisherman, families, and nature enthusiasts. Reservation Procedures2-night minimum payment must be received before confirmation of reservation. Balance must be paid upon check-in for reservations for less than 30-days. For camping reservations longer than 30-days, payment must be made 30-days in advance to guarantee site each month.
